It’s always a blessing to see my good friend Reggie, especially when we get to fish. Reggie asked his teammate and rookie Eric Rascoe to join us this outing.
We headed off in search of those scrappy trout, but sadly it was a slow day on the water. There were several back-pools along the way which surprisingly held some monster Northern Pike, pictured below. We did manage a few early morning rainbows, but nothing to write home about.
I guess if the trout fishing is slow, it’s good to at least catch decent fish like these river Pike. We shared lots of laughs as usual and had a total blast despite slow fishing conditions. Super glad we could get Eric his first Bow River fish!
Like they say, “it’s called fishing and not catching”.
